How long does it take for me to get my first feature?

The time it takes to be featured for the first time depends on:

- How quickly you reply to the journalists requests;

- How well your profile fits with the request. *If you're the right expert you could be featured immediately once the journalists receives your content;*

- How well written your content is. *If you take the time to think and structure your content instead of writing in 5 min while you are commuting from/to work;*

- The more value you provide and less "advert-like" your content is, the more chances you will have to get featured;

### We advise you to not over promote your services in your content, as you'll have your short bio and link to your website at the beginning or end of the article (sometimes in the middle too), there is no need for it.

How do I change my photo?

Your profile picture is the public face that you put out to the journalists. A powerful picture can say a lot about a person. 
While there's a lot to be said for a consistent profile picture — finding a good picture that represents you helps give the impression of a consistent identity to people.
That being said, there's no reason to keep a picture that no longer suits you.

2 - Scroll down the page until you find **Member Profile Photo**;

3 - Click on **Browse Image** and choose a photo from your computer / smartphone;

4 - Scroll down the page until you find **Save changes to member profile**;

5 - Click on it and it's done. You have saved your new picture. Well done!

Why does it take so long to get featured?

Because the media sometimes move slowly.

Many media outlets plan their calendar with weeks or months in advance, so even if you had replied promptly and the journalist has followed up for more, it
could be some time before you see any content published.

Journalists are very busy and if there is something we know for sure is: *they don't like to be chased*.

If the content never appears (which happens more often than you can imagine), don't blame the journalist themselves – sometimes editors will ‘spike’ a story or cut it right down after it has been written. In these cases, you will still have made a potentially useful contact for the future.

Where can I find the deadline in the enquiries?

Deadlines are displayed in the top paragraph of enquiry emails. When an enquiry has a short deadline, you need to reply immediately if you want your comments to be used.

So, try not to wait until the last minute. Remember that the latest you send your comments, the lower will be your chances of getting featured.

How can I pay?

We all know that "buying" something is not always fun or enjoyable and we try to avoid it as much as we can, but we cannot avoid a ***good investment*** when it's available, right? 
That's how we want you to feel. That you are investing your money in us and the benefits are worth it.

Why was my debit or credit card declined?

There are a few reasons why your card payment may not have gone through.

GuidedPR's process for accepting debit and credit card payments is rigorous. This helps prevent people from paying for things with stolen or unauthorized cards. The screening process is complex and, on rare occasions, it will impact valid cards.

If you know your card is valid but your payment still doesn't go through, we suggest that you either try another card, try your transaction again later or in the last case, contact your bank.

Another option is to pay with your bank account. *Paying with your bank account* is a quick and easy way to keep track of spending and avoid using your card.

If you do online banking, it usually takes a few minutes to link your bank account to your GuidedPR account.

Once you’ve linked your account to your bank, you can securely use it to pay for things. Merchants get paid, but they never see your bank account details. They won’t even know what funding source you use.

What type of photos can I upload?

Here are some tips on what kind of photo is appropriate to upload:
